President, Treasurer (2019-2021)
Born in Hyderabad, she has lived in Germany & Austria before making Portland her home. A passionate traveller, home cook & photographer, she finds joy exploring different cultures. Deeply rooted in the sentiment of supporting people around you, she has been associated with several NGOs over the past decade. Guided by her motto — “Live life to the fullest” — Debangana embraces every experience with warmth, creativity, and purpose.
Mithu Dasgupta
Treasurer
Mithu is a passionate board member whose work is guided by creativity, community, and connection. With a lifelong love for art, music, and community connections, Mithu brings an unique, imaginative perspective to every initiative that she is part of.
Srabani De
Secretary
She is someone who values nature, painting, and cultural exploration. She grew up in Agartala, a small capital town in northeastern India, where the gentle hum of the monsoon rain taught her to listen closely to nature and appreciate its rhythms, as well as the simple lifestyles of the local people. Being part of MaitreePDX gives her a sense of fulfillment through community events in Portland, and the outreach she and her group does for less-privileged women and children helps keep her grounded.

I believe in the idea that working together can amplify our individual strengths to create positive change in communities that need support.
Through service projects and fundraising efforts, Maitree allows me to contribute more effectively to those in need.

Ajanta Neogi

Ajanta Neogi lives in Portland with her family. For more than two decades she is involved in volunteering with public schools and non profit organizations. Her passions include cooking , gardening and reading.
Dipanwita Roy

I am Dipanwita.
I have lived in Portland since 1997 with my family. I am a banker by profession and live for music, kindness, inclusiveness and their various expressions. I thrive in an atmosphere of love, peace, friendship, and integrity.
I have been an integral part of MaitreePDX from its inception and deeply aligned with its goal of upliftment of the underprivileged.
I live every day in this beautiful world in immense gratitude and thankfulness. 🙏🏽

I have been fortunate to call the Northwest home for many years, and I continue to be inspired by its natural beauty and ever-changing weather.
I feel deeply privileged to work alongside eight like-minded friends who share a common purpose: supporting and uplifting the marginalized in our community. Together, we strive to make a meaningful difference, guided by compassion, collaboration, and hope.
